1. Agreed Upon Service
Once you have reviewed your estimate and had any questions answered by your sales representative, our estimator will submit your fence project to the main office, which will begin the fence installation timeline.
Once your project is input, you will receive your invoice and initial schedule for the week. As noted on your estimate, 50% of your fence project cost is due no later than seven business days before your installation week. Your fence will be rescheduled if payment is not received before this date.
As a reminder, any custom material must be paid for in full before scheduling. Payment options include online billing, ACH, or credit card with a (3% convenience fee), check, or cash. Once a down payment is made, it is non-refundable, and there is a no-return policy for custom materials.
Change Order Requests
If there are last-minute changes, don’t hesitate to contact your sales representative promptly if you need to modify anything. To submit a change, use our change order request form.
Be aware that some changes might delay your original installation date and could alter the pricing. Please inform us as soon as possible to facilitate these adjustments. Please note that any modifications made during the project that impact our timeline may incur additional fees.

2. Schedule Your Fence Project
We prioritize scheduling fence projects on a “first come, first scheduled” basis, and our estimators meet with customers throughout central Oklahoma daily.
During peak seasons, any reputable fence company, including ours, is commonly booked 4-6 weeks in advance. Rest assured, we will schedule your fence project as quickly as possible!
Scheduling Considerations for Your Fence Installation
Please note that our scheduling is influenced by weather and other unforeseen events beyond our control. Our scheduling department will make every effort to inform you of any changes to your installation timetable.
To avoid delays in your fence installation, ensure that any prerequisite projects such as home construction, real estate closings, concrete work, retaining wall construction, dirt work, or tree removal are completed beforehand. These types of delays may incur additional mobilization charges.
Occasionally, opportunities arise to advance or insert your fence project between other scheduled tasks. This can happen if another installation concludes earlier than anticipated or is delayed due to unexpected circumstances. In such cases, we will proceed with the next available fence project that fits within the time slot.
3. Locating Oklahoma Utilities
The third phase of our fence installation timeline, and one of the most important, is having underground utility lines on your property.
Fence OKC will contact OKIE811 a week to ten days before your fence installation date to schedule a time for USIC personnel to visit your home or property to locate and mark underground utility lines.
By Oklahoma law, this MUST be completed before ANY work can begin by the contractor. When contacted, USIC personnel have 48 hours to locate and mark underground utility lines.
Fence OKC will call OKIE811 7-10 days before installation and notify you. USIC and other utility company personnel have up to 48 hours to locate and mark underground utility lines and usually have them marked by Friday. Please ensure all gates are accessible and pets are contained until lines are marked.
Lines may be marked with colored paint and colored flag. Please avoid removing or disturbing any markings; our installers need to know these areas when installing your new fence. OKIE811 does not locate or mark private underground lines such as sprinkler systems or landscape lights. Fence OKC is not liable for any unmarked line. PLEASE MARK ANY KNOWN UTILITY OR SPRINKLER LINES before INSTALLATION. Fence OKC is not liable for a private utility or sprinkler line damage.
4. Installation of Your New Fence
Installing your new fence is our fence installation timeline’s fourth and most exciting phase. This phase has two parts.
We will notify you a couple of days before to confirm the day of your project start date. The average Oklahoma backyard fence replacement takes at least two days (weather permitting).
Please make sure that if you have neighbors, they are aware we are coming and have their pets contained. We don’t want your neighbor’s pup to delay your project!
Phase 4 of our fence installation timeline consists of two parts:
PART #1: On the first day, a Fence OKC representative will meet with you to confirm the location and details of your fence project.
If you have a wood fence removed, our installation crew will start by removing the old fence material and stacking it neatly by the curb for pick-up and haul-away, if applicable. Removing the panels from your property may take 48 to 72 hours.
Once Fence OKC removes the old fence, we will set the posts for your new fence. Initially, the fence posts may appear uneven in height, which is normal. At completion, we will cut them to an even height and, if applicable, place dome caps on them.
PART #2: The second phase of your fence project consists of installing the fence material to the previously set posts.
Fence OKC will also install any gates and complete any custom work you may have included in your project.
**Please note, on rare occasion, there may be a a few days between setting posts and the completion of your project.** This depends on Oklahoma weather and/or uncontrollable circumstances.

You may give the final payment to the installers or the estimator, bring it into the office, mail it, or simply pay it online.
